National Science Week

Discover how to protect your local ecosystem and build a thriving, eco-friendly environment right in your own backyard.

This hands-on National Science Week workshop invites you to explore the vital, beautiful relationships between local wildlife, insects, and plant life. You will discover exactly why pollinators play such a crucial role in keeping our environment healthy, and learn how choosing the right native species can truly transform your outdoor space. Together, we will put your new knowledge into immediate action by planting a lasting pollinator habitat in a garden planter box.

What you will learn and do:

  • Ecosystem Insights: Discover the powerful ways native plants support and nourish your local environment.
  • Wildlife Connections: Understand the fascinating, essential relationships between plants, pollinators, and wildlife.
  • Hands-On Experience: Gain practical, real-world experience by helping to build a thriving habitat step-by-step.

You don’t need to know anyone to join in, so come along to connect with science, nature, and your community in a relaxed, friendly space.

Gardening activities are located at our garden facility, 11 Hellyer Way, Endeavour Hills.
